Leica has come out with the Leica T Camera. The Leica T is one of Leica’s higher end cameras. It is made in Germany, unlike its point & shoot cameras the Leica V Lux & Leica D Lux. The Leica T has a 16.3 APS-C Sensor inside it. It is a solid Aluminum Alloy Unibody Design. A wonderful 3.7″ LCD Touchscreen on the back . Continuous at up to 5 frames per second. The T also has a system of lenses that are auto-focus. Which enables you to capture your precious moments faster and more accurately without risk of missing the focus. For those of you who love video , the T has a full HD video Quality at 1080P at 30fps . If you have a smartphone or iPad. You can download the Leica T App and you will be able to connect via WiFi to your device to send and transfer your images. Lastly, if you have a Leica M system already and own Leica M lenses. Have you been looking for a great all around Point & Shoot camera with a fantastic image quality? Look no further, the new Leica V Lux Type 114 camera has all your needs. The V Lux has a fantastic zoom range of 25-400 mm. Which can cover pretty much any photographic situation all the way from a wide angle to a telephoto zoom. It also has a built in Macro close up mode for shooting close ups of products, flowers, etc. The Aperture ranges from a 2.8 at the widest point to a f/4 all the way zoomed out. The lens is extremely sharp and gives great detail to your photographs. One of the major upgrades I believe in my opinion is the autofocus feature. The AF on this camera is incredibly fast and accurate. Literally the second you press half way down it grabs focus quickly. If you have children and they are always running around like crazy. The Leica V-Lux has a really nice continuous frame rate. It can shoot 12 frames per second at full resolution. Which will enable you to be able to capture the moment you desire in your photographs specially for moving objects like wildlife & sports. Thinking of upgrading your Leica M9 to the new Leica M240?

Have you been contemplating upgrading your Leica M9 to the new Leica M240? Here are a few reasons why you should! Coming from a big Leica M user like myself. I was contemplating whether or not it was worth upgrading. So I took it upon myself to take the New Leica M240 for a test drive on a recent shoot. At first I was skeptical, but once I started shooting with it. It completely rocked my world.

The first thing that I noticed is the color is absolutely beautiful. The Leica M9 was pretty vibrant but the M240 takes it up quiet a few notches. Secondly, the major difference between the M9 and the M240 is the ISO capability. The M9 could only go up to 2500 ISO. You would start to see grain past 800 ISO. It made it look like old Tri-X Film pushed a stop or two. The new M240 can go all the way up to 6400 ISO. The Image above that I took was at 4,000 ISO, which absolutely blew me away. It is more than adequate . Just goes to show how much of a improvement Leica has made.

Lastly, the focus peaking option on the new M240. If your eye sight is not the greatest. Or you would like to achieve ultimate pin point focus on someone’s eyes for a portrait. The new feature used with either the live view function or the (optional) electronic viewfinder. Which in my opinion is a must have. It makes focusing so much easier. Basically how it works is there is a automatic highlighting of the image contours in the color red which provide a easier use of controlling the focus accuracy.
